On January 15, 2025, the public-facing version of the Brave App will be retired. This decision was not made lightly, and we are incredibly grateful for the trust and support that have allowed this service to save so many lives.
The Brave App has been an essential part of our mission, offering a lifeline to individuals during critical moments. However, sustaining the app as a free public service is no longer financially viable. By focusing on scalable hardware solutions like Brave Buttons and Sensors, we aim to continue delivering life-saving tools that are reliable, impactful, and accessible.
While the free public version of the app is being paused, organizations or governmental bodies interested in licensing a white-label or private-label version of the app can still do so. Additionally, we remain open to revisiting the public version in the future if funding or resources become available.
To everyone who has used, supported, or believed in the Brave App—thank you. Your courage, compassion, and commitment have inspired us and reaffirmed the importance of this work. The app’s legacy is a testament to the strength of community and innovation in saving lives.
This is not the end of Brave; it’s an evolution. As we step into the next phase of our journey, we remain steadfast in our mission to provide life-saving tools and empower communities to thrive.
If you have any questions or would like to explore licensing options for the app, please reach out to us at contact@brave.coop.
With gratitude,
The Brave Team
