Brave operates as a cooperative. Not only are our products created by co-design. So is our entire company.
We are the collective representation of our product users, customers, employees, and investors. A cooperative of folks all working towards our shared vision is key to creating a world free from overdose fatalities.
“Underpinned by the values of democracy, equality and solidarity, the co-operative movement can help pave the way to a more just and inclusive economic order.” ~Kofi Annan
Together we can accomplish the one thing that matters most: making overdose fatalities a thing of the past.
Brave is founded on the principles of economic justice and accountability to community. We believe that everyone involved in what we do should enjoy a share of the benefits and a say in how we do it.
Brave is owned and democratically governed by our co-op members.
Each member, regardless of membership type, gets one vote. Members can vote in-person, online, or through a proxy
If Brave generates a surplus in a given year, your membership entitles you to some of it.
All members can participate in Brave’s Annual General Meeting and vote on our strategic direction.
Any member can convene special general meetings with the support of 10% of co-op members.
Members forge relationships across a community of like-minded humans all working to end overdose fatalities.
